Other "Pet Food" Companies: Contracting With Killers

NOBEX hired the laboratory that we investigated to conduct insulin experiments on dogs.

Dogs at this laboratory were imprisoned in stainless steel cages inside windowless trailers. Many exhibited stereotypical behaviors (i.e., incessant circling and/or spinning) associated with intense confinement, stress, loneliness, boredom, and fear. Not only is such treatment inhumane and inexcusable, it also calls into question the validity of any data that the company derived from the experiments.

NOBEX has not responded to our concerns. Please ask NOBEX officials why they apparently do not care how animals who are used in the company’s studies are treated:
